About Me
My name is Clare McGee and I am a fully qualified and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I trained in Dublin at the Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am Accredited with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
I work in an integrative manner. This means that I have a range of different skills, theories and techniques to draw on and I use these to tailor the therapy to each individual client.
My work is based primarily on the Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) schools of therapy. However, I also bring in skills, theories and techniques from other schools of therapy such as existential therapy, gestalt therapy, reality therapy and mindfulness.
In addition to my work as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I also have an MSc in Occupational Psychology which is concerned with people in the workplace. This gives me a unique perspective on helping with any issues surrounding the workplace.
